Spotted Hyena (Crocuta crocuta) - Kenya

The spotted hyena is one of two Hyenas found in Kenya (the other being the shy, purely nocturnal Striped Hyena). Social animals with high intelligence, hyenas form hunting packs and frequently clash with lions over food and territory. Spotted hyenas derive the majority of their nourishment by hunting medium sized ungulates
